So this theme’s week seems to have been patterns for me, starting with discovering an amazing tutorial on design*sponge by Julia Rothman on how to make a repeating pattern, without a computer. (My process shown above.)
With your new pattern you can now make custom fabric, without a minimum order requirement, at Spoonflower. Their shipping rates aren’t too crazy for the UK as well, so in lieu of a more local source, they seem a pretty great option. There’s also a flickr group for your fabric or design.
Pretty much everyone who knows me, knows I love etsy. Recently I’ve been dreaming over the letterpress of Old Tom Foolery, especially these cards.
Some of my printing lately has been inspired by oggling the work of Lena Corwin a prolific design/printer, who has a book on Amazon, and an interview with a tutorial.
